Distant Learning

Infotek is a distance learning company with a mission to provide reliable, scalable and educationally sound distance learning solutions. It is founded on the highly regarded and successful Teletraining Institute which has been a leader in offering professional development workshops, courses, and Academies for distance educators and teletrainers since 1993. More than 9,200 individuals representing academic institutions, corporations and government agencies have participated in the Institute’s programs.

As part of a new business initiative in 2002, the Institute expanded its professional services to include content conversion specifically for elearning and online programs, and Infotek was created to better reflect the services and capabilities related to elearning and online instruction. Infotek provides the conversion of traditional content into a web-based format in addition to the related hosting and support services as well as the continuation of professional development and training programs. These services are founded on a unique instructional design process and more than 40 years experience in content transition, administration, and support training in a technology-based environment.

Today, Infotek is partnering with a growing number of enterprises to design, build, and support online training and assists informational providers in using appropriate delivery strategies that are geared for diverse technology-based learning environments.

These partnerships attest to the level of experience and understanding of the web-based learning environment and what is required to produce effective online instruction.

Each member of the Infotek team has extensive experience. The team has a combined total of more than 80 years of distance learning expertise and specialization in instructional design, production, technical support, Learning Management Systems and customer service. Pamela Gilliam, President, is recognized as a leader and visionary in distance learning and has been involved in educational innovation for approximately 30 years. Under her leadership and guidance, her team has proven its ability to smoothly develop innovative, highly professional online training.
